Since 2002, I have been building timber-framed structures – hand-crafted, freestanding and tailor-made to a client's needs.
These constructions have been used as guest bedrooms, offices, workshops, and include three self-contained micro-living homes.
Building with wood combines timeless tradition with the 21st-century need for sustainable, ecological choices. Using 'green' materials (for the construction, insulation and internal finishing), my constructions are healthy for their users and for the planet.
Hand-crafted tradition
These constructions are crafted entirely with hand tools, are beautifully finished inside, and use woods that are naturally resistant to both insects and the weather.
I have also run training courses, teaching the skills of traditional timber-framed building to people who want to build for themselves.
